Résumé
Twins Rahel and Estha grow up between vats of banana jam and heaps of peppercorns in the blind grandmother's factory. They try to fashion a childhood in the shade of the wreck that is their family their lonely, lovely mother,… their beloved uncle, and their incumbent grand-aunt.
