Résumé
In 1990 a small group of Russians embarks on an unusual artistic endeavour. To achieve realism in a film about the playwright Anton Chekhov, they hire a hypnotist whose specialty is "reincarnating" famous individuals. As he works with actor Mikhail… Petrov, strange things occur. Instead of staying firmly rooted in the targeted time period, Mikhail experiences inexplicable time-warp adventures as Chekhov.
