Résumé
"The King's War" takes the story of the great rebellion from 1642-1647. During these years the great battles of Marston Moor and Naseby were fought, Rupert emerged as the King's chief general and Montrose conducted his brilliant but forlorn campaign… in Scotland. On the parliamentary side the death of Pym was followed by the rise of Cromwell, both in parliament and in the field. Here for the first time "the ordinary people" had an organization through which they could make their influence felt on the politics of the nation. Sequel to "The King's peace, 1637-1641" (DC30908). 1983.
