Quando Zeus, il padre di tutti gli Dei, scoprì che la sua amata figlia Atena era incinta della figlia di Apollo, egli ordinò a tutti gli Dei e a tutte le Dee di mantenere il segreto, poiché desiderava che tutti… i mortali credessero che Atena fosse una eterna vergine. Nel momento in cui nacqui, Zeus mi consegnò a una fedele strega mortale chiamata Maia, che significa 'madre nutrice'. Mio padre Apollo dovette farsi fare un incantesimo speciale da Maia perché, essendo Dio della verità, non poteva mentire.
