How to configure a Stratus4 M for CELA Direct to Player access

Overview

This tutorial assumes you have on hand an SD card containing the information needed to set up the player. For information how to prepare this SD card yourself, see How to configure an SD card to set up Direct to Player service. Alternatively, the SD card can be mailed out to you by our Contact Centre, which you can request by filling out the Direct to Player configuration form.

There are two main steps. 

  1. Connecting the player to the internet
  2. Configuring your CELA Direct to Player account

Connecting your player to the internet

  1. With the player turned off, insert the SD card in the player. 
  2. Power on the player: press and hold down the round Power button located on the right side of the player until you hear a beep. 
  3. After a welcome message plays and the player scans the SD card, press and hold the Info button, located in the middle of the arrow keys, until you hear “Menu, navigation and playback, loop off”.
  4. Press the Info button repeatedly until you hear “Wireless menu, Airplane mode off”.
  5. Press the down arrow until you hear “Import a network configuration from file”.
  6. Confirm this choice by pressing the Play/Stop button. This is a square button with a round indentation on the bottom edge of the player.
  7. Wait until you hear a confirmation message that the player is connected to your Wi-Fi network.
  8. Optionally make sure that your connection is active by pressing the down arrow until you hear “Launch a connection”.
  9. Press Play/Stop.
  10. Use your up and down arrow keys to select the wireless connection you want to connect to and press Play/Stop.

Configuring your CELA Direct to Player account

  1. Press the Info button repeatedly until you hear “DAISY online, add a DAISY online service”.
  2. Press down arrow key until you hear “Import online DAISY configuration from file”.
  3. Press the Play/Stop button to confirm your choice.
  4. Wait until you hear the confirmation message “CELA Direct to Player on”.

Your player is now configured. You can turn the player off or press and hold the Info button until you exit the menus.
