plus précisément dans le centre horticole implanté en son sein. Il a hésité, d'abord parce qu'il simaginait mal écrire sur le jardinage, ensuite et surtout parce qu'il ne se voyait pas passer du temps dans un hôpital psychiatrique à l'heure où sa mère, atteinte de la maladie d'Alzheimer depuis huit ans, sombrait dans la démence. Puis il a visité le jardin, rencontré les patients et pensé qu'écrire sur eux lui permettrait peut-être d'écrire aussi sur elle, via leur étrangeté commune, d'écrire sur la vie qu'ils vivaient encore un peu ensemble et ainsi, qui sait, de ralentir, un temps, leur irrémédiable éloignement. Des bienfaits du jardinage dit les allers-retours de Patrice Robin entre elle et eux durant ces quelques mois de résidence, allers-retours entre les vies, celles brisées parfois, tassées souvent, de ces hommes et femmes lourdement médicamentés, celle de plus en plus immobile et silencieuse de sa mère. 2016.
