Rien n’est jamais tout à fait fini au Québec. Le passé se prolonge donc dans le présent de manière confuse, malgré la soi-disant coupure de la Révolution tranquille. Parce que, peu importe ce qu’on en dit, peu importe ce qu’on en pense, le passé finit toujours par percer, comme la pyrite dans un sous-sol de bungalow. Le problème, ce n’est pas nécessairement que le présent soit coupé de ses racines, comme plusieurs penseurs contemporains le dénoncent, mais bien que celles-ci aient mal poussé et aient fini par tout étouffer. Ce qui nous amène à cette question, déterminante : pourquoi plusieurs pans de notre passé et la mémoire que nous en gardons ressemblent à des chantiers inachevés dont on a perdu le sens ? Pourquoi ce passé a-t-il proliféré ainsi, presque à l’insu des Québécois ? Que signifient les problèmes d’embrayage temporel au Québec ? Quelles en sont les conséquences sur notre présent ? 2014.
